Big Lots and Books

Yesterday I took out a loan to pay off Toyota at 50% of what I really owed. They wanted to loan me an 00 amount so I rounded it up. This gave us an extra $90 almost.
I went to get my book I had ordered from BAM, but they didn’t have it anywhere. So I perused the computers section for something else and found an awesome photography book specifically focusing on weddings.

I flipped through it and really liked the information in it. I think I’ll be able to use it to help me tweak up my work insome areas as far as settings on my camera. I’ve been studying a lot lately on the settings and the different, fun things I can do. Last week at McKays, I picked up a book called Understanding Exposure that has some great info in it as well.
I really can’t wait to read through them some more. I’m glad that I got them instead of the web design book I had ordered, even though I still really want it.
I went online to BigLots.com and discovered that the Jennifer Farrell Collection is on sale at 25% off!! I am stoked because the grass type vase I want for my bedroom is part of that collection so that means it is now only $30!!! I don’t know if I have that now or not.
We’ll see!
Down by the river.

Mike wanted us to go to the Ocoee River for another anniversary celebration. We went up yesterday and it was hot and I was tired from work. We had Aidan with us and enjoyed ourselves. Aidan took about half an hour to get warmed up to the water, and he never really did. I have pictures of Mike and Aidan sitting in the river. It was really low.
This past Saturday I shot a wedding for a lady at work and it was hot as hell!!! I think wearing my black suitpants and a black dress shirt didn’t help the situation. I need to invest in some lighter dress clothes (maybe a flowy skirt) for when I shoot weddings. What can I say? I love black! Black is always the new black.
I have some pictures posted on my website from their wedding: www.wendychastainphotography.com
I am thoroughly exhausted from working/doing so much over the past month, that I am just tired all the time. I’ve been drinking more Mello Yello to help me get by, but it only makes things worse. It’s my vice.
Hopefully this week I’ll get caught up on rest. Next week I may be going to visit Rhiannon and Collin so that Collin and Aidan can play. And I also need to design a tattoo for Sorayah upon her request. She is wanting one for her daughter, Sadie. I have the perfect one in mind!!
I really want to do my tattoo that I designed for Aidan, but Mike says we need to finish all of my other ones that aren’t done. (which is 3) It’s true, but I REALLY want this one. And when we do it, there will be no stopping until it is complete.

I made my first pot of chili, ever, tonight. Hunts has a garlic flavored tomato sauce and of course, being the garlic freak that I am, bought that. It was muy delicious!! Next time I know to add a little more sauce….and less beans. lol
Yesterday I received my light reflector (for photo shoots) and can not wait to use it!!! Monday I have a shoot with Sorayah for one of her last sessions as a preggo woman. We are doing an alternative style shoot this time. Guess you’ll have to stick around if you want to know what it’s going to be!!!!
I was contacted today by another new momma who is interested in some baby portraits. I love photographing babies!! I hope that she decides to hire me. Extra money is nice.
I put together all of my Halloween goody bags for all of the neighborhood kids who decide to trick-or-treat this year. I love giving out toys instead of candy. They are age appropriate of course. I may have a little bit of cand as well.
I think we’re just going to get Aidan dressed up for the families who come to our door instead of going out AND handing out treats.
I’m going to go get in my new, soft PJ pants and go to bed!! Hasta luego!!
Man it’s difficult to do much of anything when you have an infant. Have I been fooling myself all along when I’ve felt like I accomplished a lot when all I really did was just exhaust myself trying to do a lot??!!
Mike had the day off to take care of business and he wound up getting a lot done. I, on the other hand, did not. I watched Aidan for the most part just to keep him out of the humidity and because Mike was going to the back of the house then all the way to the ditch, so he couldn’t really watch him.
My goal was to clean and put away all of the unnecessary stuff in the kids’ new room. (They are sharing the office/art room only because they don’t live here full time.) After I finished that, I was going to tackle the dining table and coffee table. I’ve been using them as my work station for my art projects.
I managed to clean a few things off of the coffee and dining table, shred a few things before Aidan let me know it scared him, throw away a few things from the art room and I cleaned almost all of my dishes. Oh! And I did 2 loads of laundry.
Way off from my goal!!!! Fridays I am usually busy as hell, so I won’t be taking care of any of this stuff probably until Monday. That’s OK.
Tomorrow Alex is coming over early. BUSY, BUSY! I’m going to get my grocery shopping done first thing in the morning.
I’m trying to pay attention to What’s Love Got To Do With It? because I’ve never seen it before. Later.
