Holy hell, free shit!!

Yes, I am a little drama queen, but how can you NOT get excited whenever there’s free stuff, especially handmade free stuff?!?!

Miss Betsey Booms is giving away a free apron that she has made and is not even requiring much on your part. Just go check out her new boobies, leave a little ass-kissy comment and repost about her little giveaway!!

It’s like an internet reach-around, but less messy.

;)

Here is an example of her work:

Tweet Painting!

I just finished this painting for a co-worker. I was commissioned to do this, but if anyone would like on just the same, they are $30. This is a 12″X24″ canvas.

Scrapbooking

I went to Wal-Mart to check out Miss Martha Stewart’s crafts line and now I want to scrapbook. Actually, what really inspired me was finding Silje’s blog and seeing her badass work!!! I want to make a scrapbook for Aidan. I have a baby book for him, but those are so regimented and dull. I want something that will take days to flip through!! He deserves a personalized documentation of his early years. I need to find a scrapbook that is kind of like a 3 ring binder so I can keep adding sheets.

I saw some cute letters that look like the letters for football jackets. So cute. That and some pink glittery ones, but I don’t think Aidan would like that so much. There were so many other cute little decorations, I’m going to have fun. And go even further in debt!!!!

I want this:

And this:

And this, just for the heck of it!!! :

That’s tissue paper! When will this begin?? I may start on my vacation in a week and a half. First I have to make sure we have enough money for our date since we haven’t been on one in FOR-E-VER!!! We’re going to eat at a Japanese Steakhouse that’s new here then watch Sex and The City. My SIL is going to watch Aidan for us. Love you!!

Skull themed art for sale.

These were originally intended to be nursery art, but I guess you could use them anywhere if you want!!

I am selling them for $10 each. They are hand painted and have ribbon to hang from. If you are interested in purchasing these, please let me know and we’ll set up a payment plan via my etsy shop or something.

Painting for sale!

I designed a painting today that is a modern geometric theme. It has very bold colors but would look fabulous on a neutral wall color. As of this moment, I only have one in this style, but plan to make 3 of this same style, just designed a little differently geometrically.

They will be $30 for a set of 3. You can buy this one alone for $10 or you can reserve it and wait until I finish the other 2. They will be done tomorrow (Wednesday).

I will also take requests for different colors as well.

She’s at it again!

No matter how ill I feel; no matter how exhausted I may be, if I want something, I go for it. And I wanted to paint this week.

Not my house. Paintings.

I was commissioned by Katrina to do some custom artwork as a baby gift for her friend’s nursery. They are coming along well. I like the colors so far!!!

I also continued with some of my previous ideas that I had.

This is going to be short and sweet because I’m going to take a nap since Mike is here and can watch the baby for me.

Dita von Teese

I was on myspace and browsing through my friends list and saw one of my friend’s profile pic. Standing next to her was Dita!!!! I quickly clicked through all of her pictures and was jealous. She met her at a book signing.

I’d love to just stand next to that woman because she’s gorgeous! I love women of the early-mid 1900s era because they represent health and beauty to me: they were a healthy weight and size and very well manicured overall. They are total opposite of models today who are waif thin and horrible looking…their hair is ready to fall out because of their low weight, etc.

If I lived in this time, I would be totally girly.

Anyways, I went to her website to see where she was headed next and she’s off to Europe. :( I had planned to attend the Playboy 50th anniversary party in Atlanta a couple of years ago since she would be there (and most likely Manson, too). I was almost ready to order tickets, but had a last minute bank breaker so I was unable to afford it. I was really freakin’ bummed.

Anyhoo, if you have no idea who I’m talking about, you can go see her at her site:

yum yum

I made my first pot of chili, ever, tonight. Hunts has a garlic flavored tomato sauce and of course, being the garlic freak that I am, bought that. It was muy delicious!! Next time I know to add a little more sauce….and less beans. lol

Yesterday I received my light reflector (for photo shoots) and can not wait to use it!!! Monday I have a shoot with Sorayah for one of her last sessions as a preggo woman. We are doing an alternative style shoot this time. Guess you’ll have to stick around if you want to know what it’s going to be!!!! :P

I was contacted today by another new momma who is interested in some baby portraits. I love photographing babies!! I hope that she decides to hire me. Extra money is nice.

I put together all of my Halloween goody bags for all of the neighborhood kids who decide to trick-or-treat this year. I love giving out toys instead of candy. They are age appropriate of course. I may have a little bit of cand as well.

I think we’re just going to get Aidan dressed up for the families who come to our door instead of going out AND handing out treats.

I’m going to go get in my new, soft PJ pants and go to bed!! Hasta luego!!

Umbrella Maternity Photos

I forgot to post about my photo shoot with Sorayah (last week? – damn I can’t remember). I’m not pleased with the lighting, but they’re still cute.

A Jill of All Trades

31 year old mother of Aidan, born January 27, 2007. Wife to a music man and tattoo artist on the side. I blog about everything under the sun and don't care if I offend anyone. Hopefully I can put a few stitches in your side.
I love music, fashion, tattoos and web design. Without those things, I'd feel lost. I always want more, more, more...like Billy Idol says. More fashion, more music, more tattoos.

AND....I am not the same person who owns jillofalltrades.com nor am I affiliated with her. My web design business is known as The Design Parlor.
